Those Dubai boys at it again
Godolphin continued their amazing run of success for the Dubai owners when winning today's Prix Du Moulin at Longchamp, a key stepping stone for the BC Mile, with Librettist. Horse is now 7 for 8, with his only loss coming two years ago as a two year old in the Dewhurst behind Shamardal and Oratorio (two Euro champs), plus was 16 lengths ahead that day of Etaala who was in action at the Spa last weekend. As for the BC Mile, it'll be a wait and see, looks like the QEII is next, but if he comes over, watch out. This horse seems to excel on firm or fast, likes to race on the lead, but can rate like he did last time in the Prix Marios and the overall BC Mile scene is really weak this year. Aragorn and Ashkal Way (another Godolphin horse) are nice horses but not International G1 type. Court Masterpiece is the best in England, but he was an average G2 in the past couple of years when there were good Euro milers around and just the best now since everyone else is retired.
With Proclimation also waiting in the wings, the boys in blue should be favoured to take home the majority of the BC Mile purse.
