Belmont Saturday
A great saturday card at Belmont, 3 good graded stakes races, although 1 isn't a good betting race.
Race 7 Garden City- This has blanket finish written all over it, lots of horses with good chances, I'm leading to Jade Queen, should be in the 2nd flight, has shown a very good late kick. Take The Ribbon gets Julian back on and the Belmont turf course should suit her style of racing much better then Del Mar where speed rules. Came home in sub 24 two starts ago at CD.
Race 8 Gazelle - It's Pine Island's world and we're just living in it, she'll be the 3 yr old filly at the champ, and stating a pretty good case for the BC Distaff. Teammate don't get suckered in, don't think the one turn will suit her, might be overbet in the exotics.
Race 9 Man O War - Not a great G1 quality field like the MoW's of the past, but considering the current state of North American turf races, it's probably the best we can do. Everyone is going to be discounting Go Deputy, but I don't think you can, when I was doing my ratings, I think I had to triple check cause I couldn't believe I gave it a 107, but it looks legit. Showing Up has a 106 last out from me and should be the controlling speed again, however will he get the 12f? Not so sure. Cacique will be upthere, but I'm not convinced on him anymore, Relaxed Geasture is doing a rain dance, if he gets the soft course, watch out.
Good luck today.
